My Philosophy

Have Integrity

If you don't have integrity in this life, you don't have much of anything. I've personally witnessed people who climb the corporate ladder by crushing others in their path.

I've seen families and friends turn their backs on others because they thought they had all of the answers. Being human comes with its own imperfections, but wilfully hurting others to fulfill your own selfish desires is a plague upon humanity. Instead, lead by example and be humane toward others. Be honest, work hard, be a teamplayer, stand firm by those who really love you, and shine your light across the world. Sooner or later you're bound to come across people who appreciate those values.

Be Daring

Attack fear and adversity head on by creating your own strength. Pushing your mind and body to its limits challenges you to be greater. This photo is of me from the fall of 2003. I competed in motocross racing, enjoyed kneeboarding, and supersport riding so I never shied away from the adventurous outdoors. My love of Action Sports both on land and water helped to build a strong and daring mentality within me. When you choose these types of hobbies, you're ready to dig deep and push yourself to the max. This vastly improves your confidence, courage, and strength.

Be A Leader

Being a leader doesn't mean you make difficult decisions to appease the higher-ups. Being a leader is helping others around you to grow and learn with the understanding that you are also forever learning and growing. A real leader follows altruistic beliefs and has empathy for others. They are not as concerned about how they will look, but are more concerned about doing whatever they can to see others succeed.

Be Humble

Nothing in this world is 100% certain. Part of humility is knowing that you're not in control as much as you like to think. Always keep an open mind, and realize that life is not as black and white as people like to make it. The insufferable do not have it as good as they may think, because they keep themselves from growing. Part of gaining wisdom is learning from your mistakes. Critics are not our enemies, they show us our faults.

Be Diverse

You've most likely heard the phrase, "Jack of All Trades, Master of None" but this verbiage is used as a negative connotation. It is a scapegoat term used when there is a disbelief that people are not able to perform multi-area tasks at a desired or "mastery" level. I prefer the term, unicorn; a rare individual who can perform multiple strengths in both analytical and creative problem solving. If you already have the ability and talent to perform from both sides of the brain, embrace it! Unicorns are some of the most talented, and valuable people in the tech industry. It's okay to be great in different fields!
